Art+CODE: Draw Bots Visual Art, Coding, and Engineering
Art+CODE is a STEAM integrated toolkit designed for K-12 students and teachers. This workshop brings together Engineering, Computer Science, and Visual Arts. In this toolkit, students and teachers construct a drawing mechanism using provided materials while learning a few computer science basics: loops, variables, and functions.
Visual Art, Invention/Entrepreneurship, and Making/Constructions
Sneaker Design 101 introduces elementary/middle school students to creative problem-solving through the process of “design thinking.” Students explore the world of footwear by learning about various types of shoes, materials, and basic design principles. They are encouraged to think like designers by identifying problems, brainstorming ideas, creating prototypes, and testing their designs.

Meadow Creek High School Theater Teacher John King presents ‘These Shining Lives’, telling the story of Kate Moore and her co-workers at Radium Dial, a pocket watch manufacturing company found in 1917.
GoSTEAM at Tech is a collaboration among university, K-12 school and community partners to promote sustainable, school-based initiatives that creatively integrate art, music, theater and dance into Computer Science, Engineering, and Invention & Entrepreneurship K-12 education.
In collaboration with Georgia Tech-based STEAM coaches and Innovators in Residence, teachers envision and implement STEAM programs, lesson plans, and novel activities in their schools, melding the arts with the technical STEM fields in ways that promote engagement and deep learning in both domains.
